Fathers Story Week

father-reading-weekEvery day from Mon 10th to Friday 14th June Dads or Father Figures (Grandpas/Uncles) have been visiting their children at Enchanted Forest to join us in celebrating fathers’ role in reading with their children.

‘Children whose dads read regularly with them and support their education and learning, do better at school and have improved life chances . But evidence suggests dads read less with their children than mothers, are less likely to be seen reading by their children, and are less likely to be invited to get involved by schools and family services.’ (Ref. Fatherhood Institute).

Our Dads and Father figures have sourced their favourite childhood story and came along to read them to our children. It has been an amazing and worthwhile experience for our children and we are quite sure our Dads too. A HUGE thank you to all Dads who participated.
